Being in a shelter is tough for any dog, but especially challenging for a dog that has a hearing disability.
When shelter volunteers were having a difficult time getting Rosie’s attention, they soon discovered that she was deaf. They worked to teach her to recognize certain hand signals for sit, stay, and other basic commands.
