Owning a dog can be one of the most rewarding experiences in the world. It can also be challenging, surprising, and hilarious.
Each pup is different, but certain aspects of living with them are universal. If you’ve ever owned a dog, these moments are ones you know all too well.
1. When they didn’t think things through.
2. When they try to pretend they were doing nothing wrong.
3. When they want to have their cake and eat it, too.
4. When they know how to make an entrance.
5. And how to make it awkward.
6. When they can practically predict the future.
7. When they decide they’re just over all of it.
8. When you can exploit their weaknesses for your own gain.
9. When they want whatever you have.
10. When they think they DESERVE what you have.
11. When they live by their own schedule.
12. And that schedule directly conflicts with yours.
13. When their separation anxiety is out of control.
14. When they make you break your own rules.
15. When they aren’t easily impressed.
16. And they appreciate the simple things.
17. When they know exactly what they did.
18. When they take over, and by the time you realize what’s happening it’s already too late.
19. When they just want to hang out with their friends.
20. But you’re still the one they rely on.
21. When they have no concept of time.
22. Or boundaries.
23. When they know how to work the system.
24. So you have to anticipate their every move.
25. When they have no patience for you.
26. But they’re always there right when you need them the most.
27. When they just can’t believe you’re that stupid.
28. When they just can’t wait to say hi.
29. When they just can’t make up their minds.
30. When they’ll protect their humans at all costs (even if the enemies are imaginary.)
31. When they love you so unconditionally, you know the bond between you and your dog will last forever.
Roughly half of these could be my dog!
