Hillsborough County police are on the lookout for a woman who abandoned 11 pets in the middle of the road in Florida after the shelter turned her away saying they were completely full. The 10 cats and elderly dog sat wondering what was going on.

The no-kill shelter, C.A.R.E. (Critter Adoption and Rescue Effort), simply didn’t have the space, and the workers believe the woman had other options but simply chose not to explore those.

The 11 pets ended up scattering away, and it took several days to locate and bring them all to safety. The investigation is ongoing, and the woman will face animal cruelty charges once caught. See the report on the incident in the video below:
