At first, the homeless dog refused to trust the rescuers with her newborn puppies. Homeless dogs living on the streets learn quickly that there are a lot of humans who represent a threat, and a dog with a litter of puppies is always going to be especially cautious.
But eventually she warmed up to them and led them to where she had stashed her new litter. Also, we should offer some props to the rescuers for devising a cool new trick which convinced the mommy dog to put their trust in them.
One of the rescuers played the sound of crying puppies on her phones — and the mother thought it was her babies in distress. That’s how she finally accepted her rescuers’ help and led them to her babies.
