Family Captures Rare Occurrence On Film When A Moose Wanders Into Their Yard

Moose are generally thought to be docile creatures who only make a fuss if provoked. Seeing one up close is pretty rare, but a treat. Nonetheless, a run-in with a moose certainly calls for some precaution.

These majestic cousins of the common deer are a sight to see. With their calm demeanor and giant antlers, it’s hard not to appreciate their beauty.

That’s exactly why this family in Wyoming was so quick to grab a video camera when they saw a moose mosey his way into their back yard recently. You’re not going to believe what that animal did when the camera started rolling…

Moose, who are most often docile creatures by nature, are common in the state of Wyoming, though, seeing one in your own back yard is always worth appreciating.

This moose in particular, seemed to be grazing in the family’s snowy backyard while minding his own business and going about his day.

The moose had made his way into their back yard. Not knowing what else to do they grabbed a video camera and began rolling…

The family assumed that the moose had found his way onto their property to eat a meal. By nature, moose are browsers with quite massive appetites. During the summer they eat upwards of 73 pounds of food, while in the winter they consume about half of that.

This moose seemed to be eating quite a bit. The family guessed he would likely move on after getting his fill of shrubs from their backyard.

Just as the moose appeared to take his last bite of food, he began shaking his head back and forth…
