This is such a heartwarming story.

Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner and the miracles it brings never cease to warm our hearts and remind us that life is all about giving.

For one special puppy named Nicholas and a woman named Deanna Jarvis of Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue one Christmas will always be remembered as one of the best in their life.

Some years ago, this sweet dog showed up at the rescue center in Iowa and he was there to stay. His condition was really poor as he was “hypothermic and needed to be on a heating pad.” Speaking, Jarvis said how “she zipped him up in her sweater instead and rocked him in a chair for three days.”

Jarvis and her son Marcus were over the moon to be having Nicholas with them. The poor puppy’s jaw was broken so this caring mother and son fed him by hand making sure he wasn’t hungry.

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3863380614073753"

As time passed by, Nicolas was nurtured back to health and was ready to be put up for adoption. But knowing how special he was, Jarvis was determined to find him a family as awesome as he was. Thankfully, a couple named Ton and Bea Johnson fell in love with Nicholas the moment they laid eyes on him.

Although his life was now perfect, Nicholas never forgot the woman who saved him from certain death when he was tiny and vulnerable. The Thomspons knew how much Jarvis loved Nicholas so they decided to keep touch with her.

Nicholas’ life truly is a Christmas miracle.

What do you think ? Please ‘SHARE’ this with your friends and family to spread a smile!

These cute baby otters that squeal in delight when they get a new kind of snack they’ve never tried before will definitely put a huge smile on your face.

The snuggling animals have been rescued by a man named Frank Cuesta and are now kept at an animal preserve center. Cuesta, who has helped rescue more than 6,000 animals from the hands of traffickers during the last 15 years, says how having these otters around is a real joy.

If it wasn’t for this man and his team, the otters would probably be sold on the black market where people pay enormous amounts of money for animals from the wild.

Not all volunteers or shelter employees are trained to know the difference. Luckily, Maria Sanchez, the wonderful woman in this video, had a gut feeling that Cruz wasn’t aggressive at all. She sensed that Cruz was more unsocialized and afraid. The patience she exhibits towards Cruz is something we all need a little more of! Because of Maria, Cruz got the chance he needed that led to his forever home. Sanchez updated his progress on Facebook with the best word ever! ADOPTED!

This touching video should be shown to ALL shelter workers and volunteers so they can become more educated on dog behavior. Much of the time, fear is a motivator that leads to aggression, or what appears to be aggression. It’s sorting out the nuances that can truly save life after life. Here’s a big shout out to Maria and other shelter workers like her. And to Cruz too, of course.

Michigan Humane Society’s Chris Ouwerkerk received a call when a woman found tiny Squidget curled up next to a dumpster. He brought the dog back to his shelter, cleaned her up, vaccinated her, and weighed her.

Squidget only weighed 2.2 pounds, and she’s not even a puppy. At 8 months old, she’s one of the smallest dogs the Michigan Humane Society has ever seen.

Ouwerkerk says Squidget loves to lay in laps, and while she’s a bit shy at first, doesn’t take long to warm up.

“Once you get her going, she’s very playful and very happy,” he says.

Dogs are loyal companions and would never abandon their family. They can adjust to change and should not be thought of as disposable. Adding to a family is cause for celebration, not abandonment. Sadly, one adorable pit bull was dropped off at a shelter when his family found out that they were having baby.

The nervous dog, named Smiley, was surrendered to a crowded shelter in Brooklyn, New York. The dog was betrayed by his family and then placed on the “kill list” because the shelter stated, “He has been noted to become uncomfortable with handling at times, especially when a person is reaching over him.” He was not labeled as aggressive and no health issues.

Julie Carner, proud foster mom to Pitties, posted, “I’M A GOOD BOY, I WOULD HAVE LOVED THAT NEW BABY! – PLEASE HELP ME, I DONT WANT TO DIE … By all accounts he is a just about perfect – friendly and outgoing, loves to play with his ball toys along with squeaky toys, house-trained, he knows commands sit, stay and come in SPANISH, if he pulls on the leash he will slow down when told to, no guarding issues.”

The post caught the attention of Olena Kagui while riding the subway with her husband. Usually she has to pass the sad images, but something about the dog’s sad eyes begging for help made her stop. Kagui said, “I started bawling when I saw that no one in the comments said they could take him,” Kagui said. “My husband noticed me crying, read the post and said, ‘We can’t get a dog right now.’”

Instead of giving up, Kagui convinced her husband to foster Smiley. She immediately reached out and found out that Pound Hounds Res-Q, a local rescue group, was working on rescuing Smiley from the shelter but needed a foster. That is where Kagui and her husband came in.

Smiley was neutered and then headed to his new foster home. At first, he was very nervous and shy. “He drank some water and it was … clear that he was house-trained, [and] knew not to jump on the bed or to chew anything except for his toys. But he wouldn’t settle down or look at me all day,” recalls Kagui.

The betrayed pup needed time to trust humans again. After a few days, he started to warm up and showed more affection. With some helpful tips on a harness and walking, they brought Smiley to a park with other dogs. “He was much calmer, pulled less and loved being surrounded by dogs and people.”

The couple quickly fell in love with Smiley and have decided to adopt him. “Smiley already feels like part of our family,” Kagui said. “It doesn’t take long for a foster dog to make their way into your heart. Our home would already feel empty without him here.”

She advocates for scared shelter dogs by posting, “Smiley is proof that all shelter dogs deserve a second chance and even if they have issues at the shelter, they might be completely fine outside of a stressful environment!”

Every day in New York is filled with huge crowds, which is probably why nobody noticed the lonely pitbull puppy tied to a chain-link fence.

But Brooklyn cop Michael Pascale sensed something was wrong as he drove past the busy park on a routine patrol.

“Just out of the corner of my eye I saw him. …I jumped out of the car before the car even stopped,” the 5-year NYPD veteran said, recalling what caused him to pull over on that fateful December day.

“He was just looking up at me with these eyes … sitting in this puddle of water,” Pascale said, recalling how the 11-month old puppy was shaking, crying, and nearly frozen with cold and fear. “I knew I had to get him out of there.”

Pascale and his partner wrapped the dog in a towel and rushed it to the nearest animal shelter, where at first it seemed safe. However, pit bulls are never really safe in an animal shelter, where rampant breed discrimination often pushes them towards the kill-list.

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before Pascal heard the young dog, whom he’d taken to calling Joe after the namesake mutt in Lady and the Tramp, would be euthanized unless somebody adopted him stat. Once again, the cop sprung into action.

Pascale rushed back to the shelter, where he rescued the dog once again, this time through adoption.

“I felt a connection,” Pascale said of the random sequence of events that led him to his new four-legged partner, who already has his own room filled with toys. “I felt a responsibility to make sure that he was going to have a good home, especially after what he experienced that day.”

She wandered onto the set and adopted Arthur as her parent almost immediately. Have you ever had something or someone stumble into your life out of nowhere? After watching this video, we wish we had! What a cutie pie! That guy is so lucky.

Occasionally the most random things can turn your life on it’s head. Did Arthur think the most adorable little dog would wonder over and steal his heart? We sincerely doubt it.

So the dog adopted Arthur, and Arthur adopted it right back! After filming, the pup was taken to the vet for a complete checkup to ensure that Arthur could take the adorable dog home. How cool is that?!

Foster kitty Thomas O’Malley Flufferpants hit the jackpot when he ended up in Murkin’s house! Mr. Flufferpants had been a stray who, prior to being rescued, had been covered in fleas and was missing large patches of fur. The cat also had an eye infection when he was taken in, and a physical exam later showed that Mr. Flufferpants had a heart murmur and needed dental work.

At Murkin’s house, Mr. Flufferpants was able to receive basic medical care and was given a hypoallergenic diet. He also received a daily dosage of snuggle sessions with Murkin, who is a former shelter dog himself.

The cat was a big hit among Murkin’s fans, who raised enough money to pay for Mr. Flufferpants’ dental surgery. After having his infected teeth removed, Mr. Flufferpants gained over two pounds! His fur also began to grow back.

Mr. Flufferpants was later adopted into a loving FUR-ever home, but made an important friend along his journey. Watch the video below to see Murkin and Mr. Flufferpants have one of their adorable snuggle sessions.
