This courageous dog was bound to save his friend’s life, even if it killed him.

No matter how much we try to fight against natural disasters, we are often helpless to control the nature. The same counts for fires.

Recently, a defense industry company in the city of Donetsk, Ukraine went up in flames and firefighters could do nothing against the devastating fire that spread from building to building.

But one dog went above and beyond in order to save the life of a helpless resident of one of the neighbouring houses, a tiny kitten he spent his days around.

The whole area was evacuated, but that didn’t stop the courageous dog from getting inside the burning house and look for his best friend.

The dog’s owner noticed the animal and tried to stop him from running towards the flames, but the dog was really fast and determined to undertake a rescue mission.

And just when everyone thought the dog died, he emerged from the smoke carrying the kitten in his mouth.

It was a sight none of the onlookers could ever forget. They all said it was friendship and bravery at its finest, and we can’t agree more.

Later, the dog’s owner said how it was in the animal’s nature to help someone whom he loved that much. No matter how strange it sounds, the canine and the feline were pals and they even ate and slept together.

However, this isn’t the first time for a dog to risk their own life for the sake of others.

Ben the Bordernese saved the life of his human siblings when a fire started in the house where they resided.

His owner, Colleen Rauschenberger, is thankful Ben was her choice when she was looking for a dog to adopt.

But things could get a different turn. Namely, when the family was looking for a house to rent, the landlord told them they won’t allow dogs in. But his humans wouldn’t leave Ben behind and begged the landlord to let them take their dog in, after which he agreed.

When Ben sensed the smoke, he rushed to wake the babysitter up. Thankfully, she managed to get all of the children out before the house burnt down.

Dogs are truly amazing. They are the most loyal and most compassionate creatures and we are lucky to have them in our lives.

Below is a video of more incredible stories that witness of the courage of men’s best friends.

“Ever since I lost him, I haven’t been the same. We did everything together. He was there no matter what I was doing.”

A man named Mike and his loving dog Jack were best of friends. And then, out of the blue, Jack went missing. Mike, of course, did all he could to track his furry pal down and get him back home, but three years passed by and Jack was nowhere to be found.

Neither the everyday search, nor the flyers this worried owner kept putting around the neighborhood led to a positive outcome.

“Ever since I lost him, I haven’t been the same really,” Mike said. “We did everything together, like I’d even bring him to work half the time, and any time I’d go fishing, he was there. We just did everything together. He was there no matter what I was doing.”

One day, Mike got a call from an animal hospital that was around eight hours away from his home. The person on the other end of the phone wanted to know if he was speaking to Mike and asked whether he has ever owned a dog named Jack.

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3863380614073753"

No one really knew what Jack was doing for three years and how he managed to survive on his own for so long. Luckily, he was healthy.

The moment the two long lost friends saw each other again was beyond touching, especially because Jack knew right away that it was Mike who was waiting for him the moment he laid eyes on him. He expressed his happiness by wagging his tail and giving Mike a bunch of licks and kisses. Well, he did expect some belly rubs in return.

This is such a heartwarming story.

Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner and the miracles it brings never cease to warm our hearts and remind us that life is all about giving.

For one special puppy named Nicholas and a woman named Deanna Jarvis of Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue one Christmas will always be remembered as one of the best in their life.

Some years ago, this sweet dog showed up at the rescue center in Iowa and he was there to stay. His condition was really poor as he was “hypothermic and needed to be on a heating pad.” Speaking, Jarvis said how “she zipped him up in her sweater instead and rocked him in a chair for three days.”

Jarvis and her son Marcus were over the moon to be having Nicholas with them. The poor puppy’s jaw was broken so this caring mother and son fed him by hand making sure he wasn’t hungry.

As time passed by, Nicolas was nurtured back to health and was ready to be put up for adoption. But knowing how special he was, Jarvis was determined to find him a family as awesome as he was. Thankfully, a couple named Ton and Bea Johnson fell in love with Nicholas the moment they laid eyes on him.

Although his life was now perfect, Nicholas never forgot the woman who saved him from certain death when he was tiny and vulnerable. The Thomspons knew how much Jarvis loved Nicholas so they decided to keep touch with her.

Nicholas’ life truly is a Christmas miracle.

Every pet owner can only imagine the horror of calling out their dog or cat’s name only to get no response. But if you’re lucky enough to be reunited with a lost pet, the joy can be overwhelming, as this touching viral video of a boy named Carter reuniting with his dog, Piper, proves.

On Nov. 18th, April Elizabeth Licata and her son, Carter, let Piper out to relieve herself, but the precious little pug didn’t come back when she was called. It was a nightmare scenario, but it was especially hard on Carter, as Piper had been a gift for his 12th birthday. “He had always wanted a black pug since he spent his baby years with another pug he loved very much—Oliver—who had to go live with another family,” Licata wrote.

They talked to the neighbors in their town of Byron, New York, and put calls out on social media, but, as the days passed, their hope that they’d ever see her again waned.

Then, two weeks later, Licata received a message saying a dog that looked like Piper had been picked up and taken to the Genesee County Animal Shelter. She went to the shelter and, sure enough, it was Piper! Carter was out of town with his father at the time, so Licata decided to surprise him when she next picked him up at school.

“It’s so amazing to see the love, and honestly the video says more than any words I could write,” she wrote. It’s true: The awe on Carter’s face when he first sees Piper through the car window is truly heartwarming, as is the dog’s curly happy tail wag. He breaks down into tears, then puts up his finger as if to say, “One second,” and steps out of the frame to collect himself. But when Carter gets into the car, he breaks down again as Piper smothers him with kisses.

“My son loves his dog so much, was sick while she was gone, and tonight she’s sleeping next to him again,” Licata wrote, adding that her return was a “Christmas miracle” for the whole family.

Licata posted the video, and it quickly went viral, with more than 63,000 views in just a few days.

“Hot mess tears over here!” one Facebook user wrote, echoing the general sentiment. After all, we all know love when we see it, and this right here is love.

I can’t even!Edited story for the curious! On November 18, we let our pug, Piper, out to go potty, and she didn’t come back when we called her. It had been a long two and a half weeks for my oldest two children, Carter and Natalie, thinking they would never see their puppy again. Piper was a very special gift for Carter’s 12th birthday: he had always wanted a black pug since he spent his baby years with another pug he loved very much -Oliver- who had to go live with another family while his baby brother was sick. We posted and shared and talked to neighbors, news venues, and community groups but as the days passed, our hope waned. But then, amazingly we got a message this Monday night that a dog that looked like Piper had been picked up and taken to the animal shelter. I was truly shocked. We had all resigned ourselves to the reality that she prolly wouldn’t come back. Lo and behold, it was her! Seeing her little tail wag as she came out from the back of the GeneseeCounty AnimalShelter where she had been so well taken can of, I lost it!! Carter and Natalie were out of town for a few days with their dads family, and so I hoped to make their reunions special. This video is no doubt the embodiment of that! It’s so amazing to see the love, and honestly the video says more than any words I could write. My son loves his dog so much, was sick while she was gone, and tonite she’s sleeping next to him again. What a Christmas miracle for our family and thank you to everyone who helped bring Piper home

Briella asked her parents for her own pet every day for four months until they decided to take the plunge. They found a sweet husky puppy that needed a forever home and prepared to welcome their newest family member. Of course, Briella just grew more and more excited!

When the big day came, her mom Caroline recorded the precious moment when Mieka and Briella met for the first time. The video is, to put it simply, adorable.

In it, we see Mieka sitting happily in her owner’s lap, while Briella sports the biggest smile we’ve ever seen. We’re pretty sure her face is the definition of happiness, and when she throws her head back and lets out a delighted belly laugh, it’s impossible to feel anything but joy.

Not long after Caroline posted the clip online, it went viral. How could it not? Briella’s enthusiasm is a healing balm for the soul!
